      We were running virtual servers in our cloud too much without shutting them down when they weren’t being used.
      I wrote a script to create a job that ran every hour and checked for servers that could be shut down and it stopped them.
      When they were supposed to be started up again the script job would know and power them back on.

      It saved us lots of money and meant we could do more without running out of budget.

      ….sometimes it’s important to watch the pennies!
