I have absolutely no idea. The world is changing now that 5 years would be tough.
3 years from now I might be doing more Cloud Architecture (that is designing how a customer’s IT could work in the Cloud and how they could change it to save money and make it quicker and easier to change).
I do like to be hands on and “doing” but eventually I might not be able to keep up with the level of detail needed for engineering and then I’ll look at Architecting solutions, which needs higher level view of things and how they fit together.

10 years is quite a long time so a lot may change between now and then. Hopefully, I get the opportunity to do more design work and possibly some onsite experience. I’m trying to get Chartered within the next 4 or 5 years so hopefully within 10 years I will be Chartered and have gathered loads more experience and responsibility.

Ohh no idea? Hopefully I have a few people working for me, so I can relax a little and work part time. Travelling more in between jobs too.
