I didn’t really know what engineering was until my maths teacher recommended it to me. I then looked on google at what chemical engineering is and did a week of work experience at a chemical site. I enjoyed it and could see myself being a chemical engineer so applied to do chemical engineering at university.

For me it was a case of following the subjects I enjoyed at school. I liked maths, physics and design & technology so after my A-Levels that pointed me towards an engineering degree. From there it was a case of getting a job and then doing more training as I gathered more knowledge and found more difficult problems to solve.
